Ed Allen’s Campground is located on land which has been in the Allen family since the 1930s.  Ed Allen Sr. and his wife Louise opened up the property to the public in the 1950s, so that others could enjoy the peaceful beauty and wildlife around the Chickahominy Lake.  Ed and Louise passed down the throne to their daughter Debra Allen Ward in the early 90s.  Debra managed the campground for over 20 years and now has continued the family tradition of passing down the business to her son, Brock Allen Ward, who will carry on the tradition of sharing the best of nature in a family-style setting.
