Chickahominy Lake Fishing Report – November 13, 2013

Capt. Art Conway of Conway’s River Rat Guide Service (804-746-2475) out of Ed Allen’s Boats and Bait reported that Chickahominy Lake mid-day water temperatures were in the high 40’s in the main lake on Wednesday (11/13/2013). The lake level was slightly below the top of the dam. The water was light brown and slightly cloudy in the central lower lake.

Mixed sizes of crappie were scattered on some main lake deeper wood cover and on many main lake channels and channel edges and were hitting live minnows, blade baits, tubes, Trout Magnets, and Wright Bait Co. and Southern Pro curlytail grubs. Mixed sizes of bluegill and shellcrackers were scattered in some channels in the main lake and were hitting small Gulp baits on dropshot rigs, small tubes and jigs, small blade baits, and live worms. A few bass, pickerel, bowfins, and blue cats were in some channels and channel edges and were hitting live minnows and blade baits.

Fishing with Capt. Conway, Pete and Randy Pedersen had 45 crappie, 1 bluegill, and 1 bass.
