Chickahominy Lake Fishing Report – March 21, 2012

Capt. Art Conway of Conway’s River Rat Guide Service (804-746-2475) out of
Ed Allen’s Boats and Bait reported that Chickahominy Lake mid-day water
temperatures were in the mid to high 60’s in the lower lake and in the high
60’s to low 70’s in the major creeks on Wednesday. The lake level was about
6 inches above the top of the dam. The water was dark but clear in the
lower lake and up the major creeks. Crappies were active in the major

Kalin crappie scrubs. A few bass and pickerel were hitting suspending jerk
baits and live minnows. Fishing with Capt. Conway, Korry and Ted Antol had
16 crappie, 1 bluegill, 1 white perch, and 2 bass. Capt. Bill Buck had 9
crappies and 1 bass.
